Detailed Project Roadmap

Phase 1: Planning

(1-2 Weeks)

Planning Phase

The project team focuses on establishing a solid foundation for the platform. They start by defining the vision, mission, and SMART goals, ensuring clear direction and measurable targets. Stakeholder analysis is conducted to understand the needs of students, faculty, alumni, and industry partners, and an engagement plan is developed to keep them informed and involved. A multidisciplinary project team is assembled, roles are assigned, and a detailed budget and resource plan are created to cover development, marketing, and operational costs. The team also selects the necessary technology stack and tools for the platform. A comprehensive timeline with milestones and deadlines is established, along with detailed task allocations. Potential risks are identified, and mitigation strategies are developed. A robust communication strategy is implemented to ensure alignment within the team and transparency with external stakeholders.

Phase 2: Designing

(2-3 Weeks)

Designing Phase

During the designing phase of Cube Campus Connect, spanning months three to five, the focus shifts to developing a user-centric platform that meets the identified needs of stakeholders. The project team creates wireframes and mockups to visualize the platform's layout and functionality, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience. User interface (UI) and user experience (UX) designers collaborate to design a visually appealing and easy-to-navigate interface. Concurrently, technical architects work on defining the platform’s architecture, selecting appropriate technologies and frameworks to ensure scalability, security, and performance. The team also designs interactive features such as webinars, career fairs, and networking events, integrating tools for seamless event management and communication. Content creators begin developing initial resources and materials, while marketing specialists create branding guidelines to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity.

Phase 3: Dvelopment

(6-8 Weeks)

Development Phase

During the development phase of Cube Campus Connect, spanning months six to seven, the project team transitions from design to implementation, bringing the platform to life. Software developers begin coding the platform based on the finalized designs and technical specifications, focusing on building a scalable, secure, and high-performance system. Key features such as user registration, profile management, webinar hosting, career fair modules, and networking tools are developed and integrated. Concurrently, content creators finalize educational resources and event materials, ensuring they are ready for upload. Regular testing is conducted to identify and fix bugs, ensuring a smooth user experience. The development team also collaborates with UX designers to continuously refine the interface based on user feedback from the pilot group. Backend infrastructure is set up to handle data management and secure user information, while frontend developers ensure the platform is visually appealing and easy to navigate.

Phase 4:Testing

(2 Weeks)

Testing Phase

During the testing phase of Cube Campus Connect, spanning months eight and nine, the project team focuses on ensuring the platform’s reliability, performance, and user-friendliness. This phase begins with internal testing, where developers and quality assurance (QA) specialists rigorously test all features and functionalities, including user registration, event management, content access, and communication tools, to identify and resolve any bugs or issues. Following this, a beta version of the platform is launched to a select group of students, faculty, alumni, and industry partners. This group provides valuable feedback on the platform’s usability, design, and overall experience. User acceptance testing (UAT) is conducted to ensure that the platform meets all specified requirements and functions as intended in real-world scenarios. Performance testing is also carried out to assess the platform’s ability to handle high traffic and large volumes of data.

Phase 5:Deployment

(1 Week)

Deployment Phase

During the deployment phase of Cube Campus Connect, which spans month ten, the project team focuses on transitioning the platform from development to a live environment, ensuring it is accessible to all users. This phase begins with final preparations, including the migration of the platform from staging to production servers, ensuring all configurations and settings are correctly implemented. The team conducts final checks to verify that all functionalities are working as intended and that performance metrics are met. A comprehensive launch plan is executed, which includes coordinated communication with stakeholders to announce the platform’s availability. Training sessions and user guides are provided to help students, faculty, and partners familiarize themselves with the platform’s features. Technical support teams are on standby to address any issues that may arise during the initial launch period. Marketing efforts are intensified to promote Cube Campus Connect, leveraging social media, email campaigns, and campus events to drive user adoption.

Phase 6:Maintenance

(Ongoing)

Maintenance Phase

The maintenance phase for Cube Campus Connect, commencing from month eleven onwards, focuses on ensuring the platform remains functional, secure, and up-to-date. During this ongoing phase, the project team continuously monitors the platform's performance to detect and address any issues promptly, ensuring a seamless user experience. Regular updates and patches are implemented to fix bugs, enhance security, and introduce new features based on user feedback and emerging needs. The team provides ongoing technical support to users, resolving any problems they encounter and answering their questions. Performance reviews are conducted periodically to assess the platform’s effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Data analytics and user feedback are leveraged to make informed decisions about future enhancements and updates. The team also ensures that the platform complies with evolving industry standards and regulations.
